Property Tax Workshop presented by the Comal County Appraisal District and Tax Office

Learn about the Texas Property Tax System from the Comal Appraisal District and the Comal County Tax Office.  We will discuss:

  • The appraisal process
  • Your right to protest
  • Exemptions
  • Tax rate calculations
  • Tax Bills
  • Deadlines

45 minute long presentation followed by Q&A session. Presenters include:

  • Stuart Hansmann, Tax Assessor – Collector
  • Jeffrey Booker, Comal County Chief Appraiser
  • Kurt Andersen, Taxpayer Liaison Officer

Registration Procedures

Registration is required for this event. If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your registration at least 24 hours in advance to provide notice for someone coming off the waitlist. We encourage registrants to arrive 5-10 minutes early to park and get settled. If there are no shows once the event starts, other patrons such as those on the waitlist or on "stand-by" will be offered any free seats.
