Introduction to Tatting will teach the knotting process used to create speciality handmade lace. Pattern reading and methods of embellishing and joining work to create larger pieces will be covered.  Advanced techniques may be demonstrated, depending on class interest and aptitude.  By the completion of the class, participants should be able to make butterflies, flowers and a simple bookmark.  A small crochet hook (size 9-14) and small sharp embroidery scissors will be useful to have on hand.  Thread, shuttle and patterns will be provided by TPML.
