Program Description
Event Details
Come learn about the fundamentals of beekeeping from the Comal County Beekeepers Association! Afterwards we'll suit up to go into the Apiary and do maintenance work on the hives.
All materials (bee suit, gloves, hive tools, smoker, etc) provided! We have a limited amount of youth suits available, so please note in the registration if you are requesting a youth or adult size.
Ages 7+ welcome to suit up and go into the apiary. Guardians must be present if signing up a minor. All attendees must sign a liability waiver at the library before entering the apiary. All events dependent on good weather conditions.
Please make sure to wear close toed shoes and socks!

Successful library programs are designed with age in mind. Please note this program’s age guidelines will be enforced for all active participants.
Photo Permission / Opt-Out
Library staff may snap some pictures during public library programs to use in promotional materials and online. If you do not want your photo used, please email reservations@tpml.org.
Registration Procedures
Registration is required for this event. If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your registration at least 24 hours in advance to provide notice for someone coming off the waitlist. We encourage registrants to arrive 5-10 minutes early to park and get settled. If there are no shows once the event starts, other patrons such as those on the waitlist or on "stand-by" will be offered any free seats.
