Program Description

Event Details

Join local artist Jennifer McGee as we learn more about an artist's work and create one of our own!

Learn about the medium of soft pastels as we look at the iconic work of Georgia O'Keeffe who is considered the mother of American Modernism. She is widely known for her depictions of flowers, New Mexico landscapes, and animal skulls.

We will look at O'Keeffe's bold use of color, form, and space, as we choose one of her close-up depictions of flowers for our inspiration. Learn a bit of art history, terminology, and technique as we create a beautiful botanical piece of art.

Adult program for ages 18+. All materials provided by the library, registration required below!
