Meditation for Everyday Living
William Smith is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and a longtime meditation practitioner for over 50 years. He will present research on how meditation can improve our physical, mental, and spiritual health. William will discuss effective methods for creating a more satisfying lifestyle including harmonious relationships and a deep sense of peace. In this presentation, you will learn effective strategies and a simple but profound meditation technique that will help remove stress and worry. The audience will have a chance to practice this simple technique that can reduce stress, enhance relaxation and promote inner growth.
About William Smith
William Smith, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel engineer, has a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of South Carolina. As an Army officer, he pioneered this new technology within the Department of Defense. William is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and has held many leadership positions during his successful 20-year military career.
William has always been passionate about meditation which he has incorporated in his life for over 50 years. Since retiring, he has spent a lot of time volunteering as a summer camp director for 22 years, teaching children how to meditate and inspiring them to incorporate ethical living into one’s life.
He has taught numerous classes on this important topic to a variety of audiences. William enjoys traveling and giving talks on meditation in the US and internationally.

Registration Procedures
Registration is required for this event. If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your registration at least 24 hours in advance to provide notice for someone coming off the waitlist. We encourage registrants to arrive 5-10 minutes early to park and get settled. If there are no shows once the event starts, other patrons such as those on the waitlist or on "stand-by" will be offered any free seats.
